Possible Auto vs. Pedestrian hit and run at 33rd and Lowell

Absent traffic calming measures on 33rd Avenue, the street has become a dangerous, high-speed throughway for people avoiding congestion on 32nd Avenue.

And today, it may have seriously injured a pedestrian.

Police on scene wouldn’t speculate as to the cause, but the degree of trauma visible on the victim strongly suggested an auto versus pedestrian hit and run, just after noon at the intersection of 33rd and Newton.

As always, if you were a witness to what happened, please call the Denver Police non-emergency number.
